30th Anniversary Charity Event (30 years of the restaurant in Clevedon)

Junior Poon’s charity evenings for the hospital have been a great success especially the last event which celebrated the 30th Anniversary of Junior Poon Chinese restaurant in Hill Road, Clevedon.

From the sale of meals, raffle tickets and an auction, Junior and his wife Rena,  managed to raise £7,805.00 to purchase two ECG machines for The North Somerset Community Hospital, one for the Minor Injury Unit and one for the Elton Rehabilitation unit.

Junior said, “We are humbled by the amount raised on the evening. My wife, Rena and I would like to thank all our staff who have worked tirelessly making the event special and our customers, friends, local businesses who have supported the fund-raising event generously. There were a few sleepless nights, lots of hard work and effort put into organising the evening but definitely worth it; all for a very good cause benefiting everyone in the local community!”

David Fife, the Chair of the Friends of the hospital said “The Friends thank Junior, his staff and Customers for the fantastic contributions they have made to the hospital over the years.
